What happened

Capt'n Gregg's lost administrative control of the captngreggs.com domain through an unauthorized transfer. Capt'n Gregg's launched captngreggs.ph as the official site so guests, search engines and travel partners had a verified destination.

Access to captngreggs.com has since been restored and the domain is now managed alongside captngreggs.ph in the official Cloudflare account. Visiting captngreggs.com now redirects to captngreggs.ph. captngreggs.ph remains the canonical site.

Scam messages reported during the compromise

While the .com domain was out of Capt'n Gregg's control, some guests reported receiving:

• Emails claiming to be from Capt'n Gregg's reservations or admin.
• WeChat messages requesting payment or deposits.
• WhatsApp messages with booking confirmations or payment links.

These messages did not come from Capt'n Gregg's. The phone numbers and email addresses used in those messages are not Capt'n Gregg's official contacts. The official numbers and email are listed at the bottom of this page and on captngreggs.ph.

Secure ways to book and pay

To avoid scam payment requests, book and pay through one of these verified channels only:

• The booking engine on the Rooms page of captngreggs.ph for live availability and rates.
• Trusted third-party booking platforms: Agoda, Booking.com and Expedia.
• Direct enquiry to [email protected] or the phone numbers below, with payment instructions confirmed verbally or via the official email before sending funds.

Any booking or payment instruction received outside these channels, including unsolicited WeChat, WhatsApp or email messages, should be verified directly before you act on it.

What guests should do now

• Use captngreggs.ph for current information.
• Confirm reservations, rates and payment instructions by phone or [email protected] before sending funds.
• Treat unsolicited WeChat, WhatsApp or email payment requests as suspicious until verified directly.
• If you received a suspicious message during or after the compromise period, save screenshots and email [email protected] so the team can track it.
